This app is used to identify yourself on BETALDs website after signup. We use biometric document scan. This can be your passport or your national identity card. They are also called ePassport or eIdentityCard.
If you are a customer to our customers you are asked to use the app to approve the invoices. You follow the below steps. Then after your identity has been approved you can review the invoices in the list where you also can approve or reject them. This only happens the first time. The second time you can approve or reject immediately.
How it works:
1. scan your ID document (passport on the page where the photo is, on ID cards it sometimes is on the back side)
2. put your phone on the document so it can scan the identity chipset in the document
3. take a selfie and our system then compares if you are the correct person
4. the app gives you feedback immediately if your identification is approved
That is how simple it is and it is secure.

Security is important for our users to make sure the correct person is receiving the money. Our investors want to make sure they do not lose their money when they advance it to you so our security system support us in this to make sure you are the correct person.
You use your identification document which the app then compare to your selfie if you are the holder to the identification document. The app can only identify you if you have one of the biometric passports and national ID documents with a small chipset inside of it which is shown with a special symbol on the passport. Please see the image with a blue square. It can be in different colours but that is the sign for the newest passports. The app will not acccept any other documents than biometric documents and you can not send us any passport copies.
When you scan your national ID card the MFZ code is on the back of some cards. The MFZ is a very long string made up of the identity number and your name and some other information. You recognise this in the passport as the text/string at the bottom on the same page where your photo is (National ID card also on the back)
We do not collect anything more than the information we need which is your identity information and the geo location of your mobile phone. Both are to make sure you are not a fraudster and you are in the country you state.
We have several security system that check that all is in order to make sure we make the right decision. These systems are AI systems and use extremely advanced technology (patent pending) for your and our safety.
And no, we do not collect more than stated above. We are getting annoyed when others collect it so why should we do it to you.
